How to Finish Applying

Create a Application Portal account now!

As part of the application process, you must create an Application Portal account. You can use this account to upload admission documents, track your admission documents, register for events, and receive information about LC State.

Ask your high school to send your official transcript to the LC State Admissions Office at admissions@lcsc.edu or 500 8th Avenue Lewiston, ID 83501.

A 6th semester transcript can be submitted to be tentatively admitted, a 7th semester transcript is required for scholarship purposes.

If you enrolled in any college courses while in high school, those transcripts must be submitted as well.

Official transcripts must arrive in a sealed envelope or in official electronic format from the issuing institution to be valid. Photocopies of records are not official.

*You can be tentatively admitted off unofficial or working transcripts. Unofficial transcripts may be sent to admissions@lcsc.edu. Unofficial college transcripts must include your full name, institution, grade points, credits, and grade point average. Working transcripts indicate you are currently enrolled in classes. After your grades and/or degree are posted, you will need to have official transcripts sent to the Admissions Office. Full admission will be granted once we receive all official college transcripts.

In order to be eligible for financial aid, please submit your Social Security Number. You can upload it to your LC State Application Portal account, via LeapFile, or by emailing it admissions@lcsc.edu.

Test scores are not required for admissions purposes. However, they are recommended for course placement. You can submit an ACT or SAT score or you can submit an ALEKS math placement exam and Writing Placement Exam which are LC State's Placement Exams

Career and Technical Students: Placement test scores indicating potential for success may be required for enrollment in career technical program of choice. Placement score requirements vary according to the program

You can submit test scores by uploading them to your Application Portal account. You can also email your test scores to admissions@lcsc.edu

Take a look at our Placement Test Flowchart for more information.

Official scores for the SAT (code: 4385) or ACT (code: 009200) are sent directly from the Collegeboard (SAT) or ACT website.

If you did not complete the Apply Idaho application, you can either complete the Apply Idaho application or complete our online application.

You will receive your official acceptance letter from LC State via mail once we receive all admission documents from you. Normally, this process takes about one to two weeks but can take up to four weeks depending on the volume of applications that are being received at that time.

Apply Idaho is open for students to use until June 30th. Our application deadline for the Fall semester is August 8th. Therefore, if you submit an application after June 30th, your application will be evaluated based on our normal Admission Standards, alongside all other applications we receive.

An Idaho State Board of Education-approved benchmark GPA and college entrance exam score determined your admission eligibility.

Learn more about our Admissions Standards. Notice that the standards vary for academic degree-seeking applicants and career and technical education degree-seeking applicants.

All financial aid forms and applications can be accessed through the Financial Aid website. We highly recommend submitting a scholarship application through the scholarship portal. You will also want to submit your FAFSA (FAFSA school code: 001621), which will determine your eligibility for federal and state aid. You should submit all financial aid forms and applications by our March 1st priority deadline for priority consideration.

For more information regarding the specific types of financial aid available to you, please contact the Financial Aid Office at finaid@lcsc.edu or (208) 792-2224.

As a freshman, you are not required to live on-campus, so choose what will work best for you! On-campus housing and assignments are based on the date deposits are received. Once on-campus housing is full, students can continue to apply and be placed on a wait list. Visit the Residence Life website to learn about on-campus and some off-campus options.

If you have questions about housing, please contact Residence Life at reslife@lcsc.edu or (208) 792-2053.

All new LC students attend STAR (Student Advising and Registration) to select first semester classes. Once admitted, you will register to attend a STAR session. STAR provides information about financial aid, payments, what to expect from college, and how to register. STAR provides new students with an opportunity to ask questions about programs and career goals.

If you are not sure if you are admitted, contact the Admissions Office at admissions@lcsc.edu or (208) 792-2210 or (208) 792-2378. If you have been admitted, but have not received your STAR email, please contact The Advising Center at (208) 792-2313.
