How Will Your Credits Transfer?

The transfer process can be scary, especially if you aren't sure if your prior credits will transfer to LC State. Put your worries at ease and check out these resources for transferring credits!

Just Getting Started at LC State

Visit TES: College Source.

LC State uses the Transfer Evaluation System (TES) to help students identify how courses will transfer to the college. The colleges/universities and courses listed in TES are not exhaustive. Information is populated in the TES system as students transfer courses to LC State. If your institution and/or transfer course is not listed in the menu, transcript evaluators will work with the division chairs to determine if a transfer equivalency can be made. If you have questions about the process, please contact the Registrar & Records Office at 208-792-2223

General education courses with a 'P' grade will be accepted and treated as a passed course.

Program-specific courses with a 'P' grade will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

LC Express is our specialized transfer program designed for students from pathway partner institutions.

A Transfer Equivalency Report is the official evaluation of your transfer credits and how they equate to LC State courses.

The Registrar and Records Office evaluates your transcript(s) to determine what transfers to LC State as General Education Core classes only. Transfer credits, which count toward your intended major, will be evaluated by your faculty advisor. You are responsible for meeting the individual requirements of your selected curriculum. You must visit with your advisor as soon as possible to begin this evaluation process*.

*Please allow up to three weeks for the Registrar's Office to complete an official evaluation of your general education coursework
