Dr. Johnston received her master and doctoral degrees under the direction of Nobel Laureate Sherwood Rowland at the University of California, Irvine. She has taught chemistry and science at Lewis-Clark State College (LCSC) in Idaho for over 20 years. She teaches general and upper division courses in chemistry and leads an atmospheric chemistry and instrumentation laboratory at LC State comprised of undergraduate students (LC AIR Lab). Her specialty is atmospheric chemistry and her research interests center around air and water quality measurements of local concern.
