About Laura
Dr. Earles joined the faculty at Lewis-Clark State College in 2007 after completing a Ph.D. in sociology at the University of Oregon. She also holds an M.S. in sociology from the University of Oregon and a B.S. in psychology with a minor in anthropology from James Madison University. Her research and teaching interests cross several subfields in sociology, including environmental sociology, rural sociology, and the study of marriage and family. In addition to upper-division courses in these areas, she also enjoys teaching SOC 101: Introduction to Sociology and ID 300A: Animals and Society as part of LCSC's General Education program.
