Michelle L. Nelson , M.Ed.

Michelle has been named the Assistant Dean of Career and Technical Education at LC State, effective July 1, 2021.  Michelle is a graduate of Coeur d'Alene High School.  She holds an AAS degree in Medical Secretarial Science from North Idaho College, a BS in Office Administration from the University of Idaho, and a M.Ed. in Adult Education from the University of Idaho.

From 2019-2024, Michelle was the Division Chair of the Business Technology & Service Division at LC State.

From 2001-2019, Michelle worked for Milan Institute at campus locations in Boise and Nampa, Idaho.  She was the principal instructor for both the Administrative Medical Assisting day and evening programs, as well as the Professional Development Strategies for Success evening program.  She was a regular substitute for evening Medical Assisting courses, served as Career Services Coordinator for one year, was a Corporate Peer Mentor, served on multiple committees, and was the campus ESOP ambassador.  Prior to Milan Institute, she worked for St. Luke's Regional Medical Center from 1995-2001 and Morrison Knudsen from 1990-1995.
