Teaching Mathematical Thinking (TMT) Courses
The Teaching Mathematical Thinking (TMT) course fulfills the 3 credit Mathematical Teaching for Instruction (MTI) course requirement for Idaho teachers and administrators. This professional development course examines the development of an understanding of student-centered mathematics instruction in the context of Idaho Content Standards for Teaching and Learning.
Dates are planned for the 2024-2025 school year, additional years are contingent upon continued funding of the program.
Course Format: Online - Eight Modules
Grades: K-2
Live/Synchronous Online: Saturday, April 12th, 19th & May 3rd, 10th 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM PDT
Cost: $150
Credits: 3 from Lewis-Clark State College

Daily Routines to Jumpstart Problem Solving (K-8) Book Study
Collaborate with educators from around the state during a virtual book study on “Daily Routines to Jump-Start Problem Solving” by John SanGiovanni. We’ll work together to prepare routines for your classroom and then practice them during our sessions. Meetings are from 4:00-5:30 PST on the following dates:

CLiMBS
Co-creating Lessons in Math with Books and Stories (CLiMBS) is a professional development workshop designed to bridge mathematical concepts in storybooks to create math lessons for the classroom.
