The first Lewis-Clark State College Internship Showcase will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2013, from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. in the Williams Conference Center in conjunction with Idaho State Board of Education meetings on the LCSC campus.
Outstanding student interns, nominated by their Academic and Professional - Technical division chairs and program faculty, will present posters of their work experience and learning outcomes from their internships and will be available to answer question about the experience. Many of them will be accompanied by their internship site and faculty supervisors.
"At the showcase, State Board of Education members, the leadership of Idaho colleges and universities, the LCSC community, and the public will have an opportunity to learn how an internship connects the classroom with communities and careers and how a student intern can have a positive impact on local businesses, schools, and agencies," said Mary Flores, LCSC Dean for Academic Programs.
