LEWISTON, Idaho – The Lewis-Clark State College Anthropology Club is holding its fourth annual Mardi Gras Night Games and Silent Auction fundraiser, to raise funds for a study abroad trip to Ecuador, on Feb. 5 at the Lewiston Elks Lodge.
The event, which includes dinner, takes place from 6-11 p.m. Tickets for the dinner and games are $25 apiece, while tickets for only the games portion of the night, from 8-11 p.m., are available for $15.
All proceeds go toward helping LCSC Anthropology professor Kerensa Allison take a group of students to Ecuador in 2017. Allison and seven LCSC students spent three weeks studying in Ecuador in 2015. During their stay they lived with host families in Cuenca, had Spanish classes every morning, visited museums and archaeological sites,
participated in two service learning projects (painting and planting at the San Joaquin elementary school and clearing forest for a community center in Union Venecia), and traveled extensively throughout Ecuador to experience the vast diversity of the culture.
