LEWISTON, Idaho – A Workshop for Writers will be held by the staff and advisors of the Lewis-Clark State College literary journal Talking River Review (TRR) on April 5 at 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the upstairs lounge of the LC State Student Union Building/Center for Student Leadership.
The event to help aspiring writers is free and open to the public. There will be prize drawings every 30 minutes.
The workshop will discuss brainstorming ideas, rough drafts, submitting work for publication and other writing tips. Though it’s not required, participants are invited to bring brief excerpts of their poetry and writing to the workshop.
LC State’s COVID-19 protocols will be followed for this event. Participants can view these protocols on the college’s Coronavirus web page.
For more than 25 years, the student-run literary journal TRR has published the creative works of fiction, poetry and creative nonfiction writers. It is published biannually by the Associated Students of LC State. For more information on the journal, visit the TRR website.
