LEWISTON, Idaho – Lewis-Clark State College honored 16 faculty and staff members at its annual Faculty & Staff Recognition event on Friday afternoon at the college’s Williams Conference Center.
The event honored faculty and staff members for their service during the 2021-22 academic year and awards were announced by LC State administrators. The Office of the Provost organizes the event with strong support from the LC State Foundation.
The 2021-22 list of award winners is as follows:
President’s Award for Outstanding Teaching – Kylee Britzman, Social Sciences Division; Lorinda Hughes, Nursing & Health Sciences Division; Lloyd Mataka, Physical, Life, Movement & Sport Sciences Division.
H.L. Talkington Achievement Award – Amy Canfield, Social Sciences Division.
LCSC Foundation Award – JR Kok, Technical & Industrial Division.
Annice Edmundson Faculty Excellence Award – Beverly Kloepfer, Nursing & Health Sciences Division; Julee Moore, Technical & Industrial Division; Ben Morton, Humanities Division.
Fernandez Faculty Achievement Award – Bill Hayne, Teacher Education & Mathematics Division; Marte White, Social Sciences Division.
Adjunct Faculty Award for Teaching Excellence – Christa Abdul-Karim, Social Sciences Division.
Dr. Cameron D. & Marilyn K. Hinman Employee Excellence Award – Gary Reed, Social Sciences Division; Erin Fay, Nursing & Health Sciences Division.
President’s Award for Excellence in Diversity & Cross-Cultural Understanding – Evelyn Carter, assistant director for Education Talent Search and educational advisor at Orofino, Timberline and Lapwai, Student Affairs.
Classified Staff Award – Amy Bond, administrative assistant, Social Sciences Division.
Professional Staff Award – Alaina Porquis, program assistant, Teacher Education & Mathematics Division.
