Warrior Giving Day set for April 9-10

LEWISTON, Idaho – Lewis-Clark State College will hold Warrior Giving Day on April 9-10 and feature 1,893 minutes of giving, commemorating the institution’s founding year of 1893. Faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends are invited to participate in the fundraiser and to encourage others to get involved.

“Donors will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of our students through matches and challenges designed to maximize the impact of their contributions,” said Jennie K. Jones Hall, director of College Advancement. “Every dollar donated will go directly toward empowering students to succeed, ensuring they have access to the resources they need to thrive at LC State.”

The event will begin at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9, and end at 4:33 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10. The annual Wake Up With the Warriors athletic breakfast will take place in conjunction with the event. For more information or to register for the breakfast visit the Warrior athletics website.

Warrior Giving Day will feature various incentives to encourage participation online at www.lcsc.edu/warriorgivingday and also on social media. For example, those who make the very first and last donations to the cause of their choice will see their donations matched. Additionally, new this year, will be a “night owl challenge” to reward the first person who donates between midnight and 2 a.m.

“Whether you’re an alum, faculty or staff member, student, or a supporter of LC State, Warrior Giving Day offers a chance to be part of something truly special,” Jones Hall said. “It’s not the size of the gift that matters, it’s the participation and excitement as we raise money for deserving students.”
