LEWISTON, Idaho — The Lewis-Clark State College Veterans Services Office will host an open house in the Veterans Resource Center (Reid Centennial Hall, Room 21) on Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event is designed for new veteran or service member dependent students to learn about resources available to them and begin networking. The Veterans Services Office will be hosting outreach community members, staff, and students to share resources available at LC State and throughout the Lewis-Clark Valley. The event will also provide an opportunity for veteran or service member dependent students to connect with one another as peers.
LC State’s Veterans Services Office is designed to assist veterans, active-duty serviceman, national guardsman, and their dependents in completing their education through LC State. Prospective and current veteran or service member dependent students can utilize the office when applying for LC State, FAFSA, GI Bill benefits, and Dependent Education Assistance benefits. The program also hosts events, helps veterans navigate the VA system, and assists in academic advising.
Veteran or service member dependent students are invited to utilize the Veterans Resource Center for any computer, printing, or military-related needs. The center also houses a lounge where veteran or service member dependent students can relax and watch TV.
