LC State again ranked No. 1 Best Value, No. 1 in nursing in Idaho

LEWISTON, Idaho – Lewis-Clark State College was recently ranked the No. 1 Best Value College and the No. 1 Best College for Nursing in Idaho by Niche, an online resource for prospective students and their families.  

Niche uses nearly 500,000 college reviews from students as well as extensive data from sources such as the U.S. Department of Education and National Science Foundation to develop its annual rankings. Rankings look at an institution’s academics, campus life, professors, safety, and more.  

LC State, which offers the most affordable tuition among Idaho’s public four-year institutions, was also ranked the No. 1 Best Value in Idaho by Research.com in 2023, and it is regularly recognized as Idaho’s top nursing program among four-year institutions.  

Niche also ranked LC State as having the third best location, third best dorms, and fourth best campus among Idaho schools. 

Thanks to a 16.5% increase in degree-seeking first-time students, LC State’s fulltime equivalent enrollment rose 3.5% for fall 2024, according to Oct. 15 census day totals. LC State’s overall headcount increased 2.4% to third most in school history.
