Teaching Experience

Upon joining the Nursing & Health Sciences (NHS) Division in 2007, I taught a variety of courses in the BSN program. Content areas included medical-surgical nursing, acute care and preceptorship practicum experiences, preparation for NCLEX-RN and professional practice, and professional role development - nursing leadership. In 2017, I was selected to serve as the NHS Division Chair, and I continued teaching various nursing courses. In 2023, I assumed the role of Associate Dean for the School of Professional Studies, with oversight of the Nursing & Health Sciences Division and other health professions education programs at LC State.

About Me

As an RN, I practiced as a staff nurse in an intensive care unit. As an advanced practice nurse (Family Nurse Practitioner), I practiced in settings such as Student Health Services, an Allergy/ Asthma/ Immunology specialty clinic, and a Family Practice clinic.

I have lived in Lewiston since 1981, after moving here from central Oregon. My husband and I enjoy the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with our children and grandchildren.
