Cybersecurity
Join an exciting field where the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics expects a 32 percent growth in hiring over the next decade.
The number of cybersecurity positions across the United States is growing rapidly with no signs of slowing down. This certificate will introduce students to a number of concepts dealing with cybersecurity. Students will learn the basics of the computer side of security, but also about basic laws that are applied in businesses and human relations. Students will be able to see how these different areas all work together to create a secure, safe, and legal computer environment in the business world.
LC State offers a bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity Management. The degree, which is available fully online, fuses cybersecurity, computer programming, and business management. The degree is focused on industry needs and skills and prepares students for high-demand careers in the field. Students may enter the program with an existing associates degree in cybersecurity or a closely related field (information assurance, networking, information technology), or complete their entire degree at LC State.
