Paraprofessional Education
Work alongside teachers to give students the additional attention and instruction they need to succeed.
The Paraprofessional Education program prepares teaching assistants to work in K-12 schools in Special Education, Reading, or ENL programs. The program articulates with the core requirements of the Elementary Teacher Education program while providing needed coursework to improve the learning of students. This degree is designed for teaching assistants and early childhood care providers. A variety of education, reading and special education classes are part of the curriculum along with program electives.
