Pre-Law
Acquire the skills and knowledge you need for a strong foundation and successful career in law.
The pre-law minor explores the study of law from an interdisciplinary perspective. Students take a core of required classes that will enhance their critical thinking and analytical abilities as well as provide a better understanding of the law. In addition, students will select elective courses, with the assistance of their advisor, that will further develop their analyzing and problem-solving skills; critical reading ability; communication skills including written, oral, and listening abilities; research skills; and organization and management skills. The minor is designed for students who plan to attend law school, or for those who desire a career in a closely related legal profession.
