About Tony
Tony is the author of the "Modular Electronics Learning Project", an open-source collection of tutorials and problem sets designed to facilitate inverted instruction of electronics at the two-year college level. He is also the founding author of "Lessons In Electric Circuits", an early open-source textbook on the same topics.
He studied at J.M. Perry Technical Institute from 1987-1989 in the subject of Instrumentation and Industrial Electronics, earned a degree at Skagit Valley Community College in 2004 in Electronics Engineering Technology, and is a life-long learner.
His work experience includes 2 years maintaining and modifying CNC machine tools, 2-1/2 years working as an instrument and electrical technician in a major oil refinery (ARCO Cherry Point), 6-1/2 years working as a meter and instrument technician in a large aluminum smelter (Intalco), and over 22 years teaching full-time in the Washington and Idaho college systems.
Tony teaches in room 237 of the Schweitzer Career and Technical Education Center.
