The office also serves veterans' spouses and dependents using Dependent Education Assistance benefits. The college has students who are in active duty as well as National Guardsman, who are utilizing tuition assistance and the State Educational Assistance Program.

Patrick O'Shaughnessy, coordinator of Veterans' Services at LC State, says his office helps students request their Joint Service Transcript or Air Force Service Transcript so that the registrar's office can examine any military schooling and training to see if there is anything that can be transferred towards college credits.

The college also participates in the Principles of Excellence, 8 Keys to Veterans' Success and Yellow Ribbon Programs.

LC State has a Veterans' Resource Center where students can study, use the computer, and use the printer for free.
