    Award-winning playwright and performer Ama Oforiwaa Aduonum will perform her one-woman show “Walking with My Ancestors: Cape Coast Castle” at Lewis-Clark State College’s Silverthorne Theatre at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 1, and will lead a workshop on African drumming and dance on the following day.

    Lewis-Clark State College president Cynthia Pemberton has been selected as chair-elect for the Cascade Collegiate Conference’s Council of Presidents, conference officials announced Thursday. She will serve as chair-elect for two years and assume chair duties in the spring of 2024.

    Non-tradition student David Mitchell works full time at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories and to advance his career, he signed up for classes in the industrial electronics technology program at LC State. With the help of Tony Kuphaldt, an instructor-on-loan from SEL, Mitchell is able to succeed despite a serious health issue.

    LC State to hold three concerts next week

    Lewis-Clark State College will hold a variety of concert performances on three consecutive nights next week, Dec. 6-8, at the Silverthorne Theatre on the LC State campus. There will be a Christmas Choir, Jazz Band and a Rock Band concert.
