LEWISTON, Idaho — In an announcement last week, the Idaho Division of Career Technical Education recognized the Lewis-Clark State College graphic communications program as its 2024 postsecondary exemplary program.
Thanks to recent approval from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), its accrediting body, LC State will offer a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree.
LC State professors Jenny Scott, Royal Toy, and Michelle Pearson-Smith will assume division chair duties when LC State begins its new fiscal year on July 1.
LC State held a commencement ceremony for two more graduates of its prison education program at Idaho Correctional Institution - Orofino (ICIO). The unique event was held outside at the facility’s recreation yard and was attended by 56 other students in the program; over 20 college administrators, faculty and staff; as well as six family members of the graduates.
LC State will host the 8th annual “Dream It, Do It…Here!” Youth Conference on Tuesday, May 14, on the LC State campus. The event will run from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. with most activities taking place in the P1FCU Activity Center.
Lewis-Clark State College is expected to award over 900 degrees and certificates when it celebrates commencement with two ceremonies at the P1FCU Activity Center on Friday, May 10.
LC State students and faculty will present their classroom and independent research projects or performances during the college’s 15th Annual Research Symposium on April 29-May 2 on campus, and on May 3 in Coeur d'Alene.
